Find Manage Certifications under the Certifications tab on the gVue Dashboard.
On the top right-hand corner of that screen, click on “Create New Certification.” This will take you to the first page where you name your form and set a due date. You also have the option to create a tag for the form and attach any files there. Once you click Save, your Certification is created, and you can start adding content.
The right-hand side of the screen has all the options for components that can be added to the form.

Each component is customizable. Once you decide which component you want to add, it will give you "Component Settings." First you will see the "Label." The label text field is what the viewer will see as the question or the directions on how to complete that specific component.
There is also a Required Field checkbox. If you check this box, the employee/viewer will have to answer that component before moving onto the next section or submitting. If you do not check this box, it is not required and does not have to be answered.
"Options" at the bottom of the Component Settings are the choices that the employee/viewer will see as options to answer that component. You want both the Label and Value to match for flagging and conditional component purposes. You can add more options with the green "+Add New" button or delete options with the red trash can icon.
For example, if you are creating a “Yes” or “No” question with a Radio List you will want to delete one option and change options to say Yes and No. You can see this sample in the screenshot below.
Conditional Components: Conditional components will only show up if the employee/viewer answers a question in a specific way. For instance, if you ask the employee/viewer a “Yes” or “No” question and they answer with “Yes”, you can add a conditional paragraph for them to explain why they answered “Yes”. When you choose the Conditional tab on the Component Settings you want to click on the green "+Add Group" button then again on the green "+Add Rule" button. The "+Add Rule" Button will give you the option to fill in the Question ID and Value. The Question ID will be the ID number for the previous “Yes” or “No” question. For the Value you will input the answer that will need explained- “Yes” in this instance. Capitalization is key when it comes to the value! It must match the Value of the previous question. The conditional component must be directly after the question that it is conditional towards.
In the example below, the paragraph component that is conditional towards Question ID: 7109 must be directly after that question. Components on the form can be moved by clicking and dragging the three small dots across the top of that component.
Flag Answers: Through Component Settings you can set questions up to be flagged and brought to the admin's attention if they are answered a certain way. In the space provided in the "Flag Answers" section in the Component Settings, you can enter the specific answer that you want to be flagged and add it with the small plus sign. What is entered there must match what is in the options for that question. More than one answer can be flagged, but they must be entered separately.
In the example below, there is a yes or no question with all “yes” answers being flagged. Click the blue "x" to remove a flag that has been added.
If an employee completing the questionnaire answers yes to that question, it will be flagged in the submissions with a small red caution symbol. When you go in to review the submission, the flagged question will now be red and easy to distinguish from the other questions.
The certification saves as you work on it and can be edited at any time. From the Manage Certifications page you will see a list of all certifications and their details like due dates, which employees have not submitted each certificate, action column, etc.
Under the Actions column, there is a "View" button along with a drop-down menu under the small arrow. If you click on View, you will see how the form will look to employees/viewers. You can fill the form out and check for any errors before sending it out to be completed by employees.
The drop-down menu has several options.
Edit Content: This will take you back into the certification to add, remove, or edit any of the components.
Duplicate Certification: Allows you to duplicate the certification in gVue. Please not that any attachments or conditional formatting will not translate to the duplicate and will need to be manually updated.
View Submissions: This allows you to see the certifications that have been completed and submitted.
Assign to Users: Once you are finished with the certification, you can use this to assign it to all or certain employees.
Assign to User Groups: This allows you to assign to specific groups of users you have already created.
Schedule Assignment: Set a future date that you want the certification to go out to employees automatically.
Send Reminder: Send a reminder email to employees who have not yet submitted the certification.
Settings: Update the Name or Due Date of the certification or upload any relevant documents.
Archive: This allows you to move a certification to an archive where old certifications can be stored. You have the option to restore the certification back to the active list if you wish to do so. All submissions will still be stored within the archived certification.
History: This provides a log where you can see details of when users are assigned.
