Two Factor Authentication can be enabled from the "My Profile" page.
To turn on 2FA, select "Yes."
*Please note that if 2FA is required by your firm, you will not be able to turn off 2FA. You will still be able to update your phone number or enable Google Authenticator from this page.
To use your cell phone number to receive the 2FA code, enter in your preferred number for text messages. A text with a 6-digit code will be sent to the number provided when you login to gVue.
To use the Google Authentication App, you must first download the app (pictured below). Once downloaded, click the + icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. This will give you the option to “Scan a QR code.” The QR code is found in gVue under “my profile” in the 2FA set up as seen above. Once your Google Authenticator is set up, a code will appear and can be used to login. The app will generate a new code every 30 seconds.
When logging in, this is how your 2FA screen will appear after you enter your login credentials:
You will select your preferred Auth Type (SMS or Google Authenticator), click continue, then enter the code generated by your chosen authenticator.
